Sahil Babayev: 635,000 people employed in Azerbaijan over last 6 years

Azerbaijan has seen an increase of 609,000 (50%) in employment contracts over the last six years, Sahil Babayev, Minister of Labor and Social Protection, said, Report informs.
Speaking at the Azerbaijan Career Development Forum, Babayev noted that 1.8 million people benefited from active employment measures between 2018 and 2024.
"During this time, 635,000 people were provided with jobs. Since the start of the self-employment program in 2017, the number of participants will reach 100,000, including next year," Babayev mentioned.
He further highlighted that 36,000 individuals received vocational training, 830,000 were provided with career guidance services, and 32,000 were assigned unemployment insurance during this period.
