Report informs that Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elmira Suleymanova spoke at the XVI Baku International Conference of Ombudsmen held on the topic of "The role of Ombudsmen in achieving Fair Peace and Sustainable Development Goals."
She said that the document has already been submitted to the Milli Majlis.
According to the Ombudsman, the provision of human rights and the rule of law in Azerbaijan has created a basis for internal stability: "As a result of the policy pursued by the President of the country, the minimum wage and pensions of the population have increased. It is useful to cooperate for establishing peace throughout the world. Peace is the desire of every nation. This is one of the main principles of the Azerbaijani state. Three main strategic documents on protection of human rights have been prepared in Azerbaijan. So far, 11 amnesties have been adopted in Azerbaijan and the amnesty act has been applied to tens of thousands of people. "
