The project of expanding women's economic rights contributes to the increase of employment and the opening of new jobs in the regions of Azerbaijan, Nuno Queiros, the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme in Azerbaijan, Report informs.
According to him, this project not only contributes to the achievement of several sustainable development goals but also corresponds to the plans of the Azerbaijani government regarding the socio-economic development of the country.
Queiros pointed out that about 2,000 women were registered in women's resource centers within the framework of the policy of expanding women's economic rights.
“The project envisages the expansion of rights and opportunities to improve the economic status of women, especially women from the most socially vulnerable groups, and to involve them in decision-making processes,” he said.
