The most popular names newborns were named in 2021 in Azerbaijan are known, Report presents Top 10 most popular names.
Over this period, the most popular name among boys is Ali. A total of 1,624 children were given this name.
In addition, 1,548 boys were named Yusif; 1,505 Huseyn; 1,486 Ugur; 1,098 Mahammad; 980 Omar; 868 Murad; 741 Raul; 705 Tunar; and 696 Ayhan.
The name Zahra among baby girls also retained the primacy this year. Throughout the year, 1,625 girls were given this name.
In addition, 1,275 girls were named Zeynab; 1,217 Maryam; 1,160 Fatima; 1,154 Aylin; 1,105 Malak; 987 Nilay; 927 Nuray; 813 Inci and 750 Madina.
