Azerbaijan starts qualification of displaced persons

The State Committee for the Affairs of Refugees and IDPs is implementing a joint cooperation project with the Education Quality Assurance Agency (TKTA) to recognize the qualifications of IDPs, increase self-employment opportunities and support the state policy implemented in this field, Report informs.

The main goal of the project, in which 40 IDPs participated in the initial stage, is to ensure sustainable employment and adaptation of IDPs who will participate in the great return.

The target group of the project is IDPs who have not received formal education. It is planned to increase the knowledge and skills of those persons in the specialities of a confectioner, operator of sewing equipment-seamstress, hairdresser, plastic pipe welder, and finally to issue a state model educational certificate (equivalent to the certification of first vocational education).
