Azerbaijan records 2,630 twins, 117 triplets, and 8 quadruplets this year

The number of twins, triplets, and quadruplets born in Azerbaijan this year has been announced, Report informs, citing the Statistical Committee.
The district (city) registration offices of the Ministry of Justice recorded 93,612 births in the country in January-September this year. Compared to the same period last year, this figure per 1,000 increased from 11.1 to 12.4. Among these, 2,630 were twins, 117 – triplets, and 8 quadruplets.
The share of boys was 52.8%, and the girls – 47.2%.
