Azerbaijan advances in prosperous countries ranking

Azerbaijan ranks 78th in the British Legatum Institute analytical center's 2020 Country Progress Index.

According to Report's local bureau, compared to 2019, Azerbaijan has moved up 13 places in the ranking, and in the last ten years - by 17 places.

The best indicator of Azerbaijan is the business and investment climate. The country ranks 39th and 50th in these categories, respectively.

The country stands at 89th in terms of security, 68th - living conditions, 57th - health, and 73rd - education. Azerbaijan ranks 136th due to environment, 68th - social capital, 110th - public administration, and 148th - personal freedoms.

The annual analysis surveyed 167 countries, and the ranking is based on political, social, economic, environmental, and other assessments of the states. Denmark, Norway, and Switzerland share the first three places in the index.
