Agenda of Azerbaijan-ILO co-op to be expanded

The head of the Azerbaijani delegation, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev, who participated in the 111th session of the International Labor Conference, met with Regional Director of the International Labor Organization (ILO) for Europe and Central Asia, Heinz Koller, Report informs referring to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.

The parties talked about the social reforms being carried out in Azerbaijan and the DOST concept, which provides for the widespread use of electronic technologies in the field of labor and employment. It includes the ‘work and employment’ subsystem, which was recognized as a ‘champion project’ at the ITU’s (International Telecommunication Union) World Summit on the Information Society and awarded.

These reforms and the concept are aimed at improving working conditions, increasing employment efficiency and creating a favorable environment for economic development and social progress in Azerbaijan.

Koller expressed his satisfaction with Azerbaijan’s active cooperation with the International Labor Organization (ILO) and expressed confidence in the further expansion of cooperation in the process of social reforms carried out in the country.
