Baku to host K-pop festival

A K-pop festival will be held in Baku, Report informs, citing the Korean Embassy in Azerbaijan
The festival will take place on October 10 at the Opera Hall of the Baku Music Academy.
Nine teams, selected from 33 teams that applied for participation, have the opportunity to perform in the finals on October 10, where the festival winners will be chosen.
K-pop (Korean pop) is a musical genre that originated in South Korea and incorporates elements of Western electropop, hip-hop, dance music and modern rhythm and blues. Originally emerging as a musical genre, K-pop has grown into a large-scale music subculture with millions of fans among young people around the world.
