An international conference titled "Interfaith Harmony: Nurturing Peaceful Coexistence" will be held in Rabat, Morocco on December 17.
Azerbaijan’s State Committee on Religious Institutions told Report that the conference will be jointly organized by the committee, the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), and the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Morocco.
It was stated that the event will discuss the impact of religious values on strengthening peace and unity in different societies, ways to eliminate barriers to religious tolerance, and initiatives that could support interfaith harmony. Additionally, information will be provided about Azerbaijan's model of religious tolerance and the legislative framework ensuring traditions of coexistence.
The conference will be attended by representatives of state and government institutions from Azerbaijan and Morocco, international organizations, diplomatic corps and civil society institutions, religious leaders, politicians, scholars, and researchers.
As part of the event, a photo exhibition titled "Common Human Values, Different Religions" reflecting Azerbaijan's traditions of multiculturalism, historical and religious monuments will be displayed.
