The Armenian Church is guiding its people towards revanchism rather than peace, the Head of the Caucasus Muslims’ Board, Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazada, said at an international scientific conference themed "Islamophobia in Focus: Unveiling Bias, Shattering Stigmas," held in Baku, Report informs.

According to Pashazada, a joint fight should be waged against those who use the name of Islam for political purposes:

"National and moral values ​​are the wealth of our people. It is necessary to protect them from foreign influences. Islamophobia is widespread in France, Denmark, Sweden and other countries. Also, one of the greatest tragedies in our lands occupied by Armenia is the destruction of our mosques and places of worship."

The shaykh al-Islam stated that, in addition to the targeted expulsion of Azerbaijanis from their homeland, the suspension of the activities of the Iravan Qadiship in Western Azerbaijan, where there are more than 300 places of worship, is an example of Islamophobia:

"However, at the meeting of the Council of Elders of the Caucasus Muslims Administration held on May 22, a decision was made to restore the activities of the Iravan Qadiship."
