Chairman of CMO: ‘If Garegin II changes his position, we can invite him to meeting of religious leaders in Baku'

If Catholicos of all Armenians Garegin II changes his position and accepts that Karabakh is the land of Azerbaijan, we can invite him to the meeting of religious leaders to be held in Baku at the end of this year, the chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO), Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh, told reporters after Eid prayer held at Taza Pir Mosque, Report informs.

Allahshukur Pashazadeh noted that the Armenian Church does not want to accept that Karabakh is the land of Azerbaijan: "Currently, the Armenian Church is spreading slanders and promoting revanchism. I hope that no one will follow these slanders. The Armenian Church is working at the behest of its foreign patrons today. If the Church changes its position, we can invite Garegin II to the meeting of religious leaders in Baku."
