Allahshukur Pashazade: Azerbaijan’s global initiatives serve interests of entire region

Azerbaijan’s global ideas, promoting multicultural values, serve the interests of the region and the entire humanity, Chairman of the Caucasus Muslim Office Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade said at the Baku meeting of religious leaders, organized within the 6th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, Report informs.

He noted that Azerbaijan successfully holds important international summits on global issues.

“Today, more than ever, the joint and constant cooperation of heads of state, public and religious leaders is important in preventing international terrorism, xenophobia, anti-Semitism, Christianophobia and Islamophobia, which are a threat to the stability and security of the whole world. But in real life, we are faced with cases of abuse of religion in political purposes, however, the danger comes not from religion, but from the politicization of religion,” he added.
