Zelensky: West did not do what I wanted in support of Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview with the German newspaper Die Zeit that his country needs large-scale military support, Report informs.

Asked whether military support from partners, especially the United States and Germany, arrived on time, Zelensky said:

"That's a good question, and I would like to add to it. Just a few months ago, when there still wasn't a war, everybody could see that an invasion was imminent. Russian troops were at our borders. And I said: Please sanction Russia so that Putin won't even consider attacking. That wasn't done. I said: Please support Ukraine in a way that will preserve our security. That wasn't done either. Now there's an invasion. Russians troops are destroying our cities and shooting refugees on the streets. Do you understand? They are even killing refugees. Their missiles are hitting apartment buildings, universities, and churches. That's barbarism. And yes, we are receiving weapons. But it's obvious that we need more. Because the barbarism has not stopped."
