Zelensky: Ukraine asking EU for immediate accession under new special procedure

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine is asking the EU for immediate accession under a new special procedure, Report informs citing UNIAN.

"We appeal to the European Union regarding the immediate accession of Ukraine under a new special procedure," he said in a video message.

Zelensky noted that Ukraine is grateful to its partners for support.

"However, our goal is to be together with all Europeans and, most importantly, to be on an equal footing," he said. "I am sure that we deserve it. I am sure that all this is possible."
