The draft decision on rendering assistance to Armenia was agreed upon within the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) framework, CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas said at a joint meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers, the Ministry of Defense and the Committee of Secretaries of the Security Councils of the CSTO member states in Yerevan, Report informs via Sputnik-Armenia.
Zas noted that tension remains on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border:
"We have agreed on a draft decision on joint measures to provide assistance to Armenia. Documents have been prepared based on the conclusions and proposals of the CSTO monitoring mission," he said.
The CSTO summit will also be held in Yerevan on November 23.
The CSTO includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
