Zakharova: Russia strongly condemns Koran burning in Denmark

Moscow strongly condemns the action of burning the Koran in Denmark, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova told a briefing, Report informs via TASS.

"We strongly condemn this [burning of the Koran in Denmark] and similar extremist acts. It is inappropriate to show disrespect for any religion," she said.

It should be noted that the Danish Patriots radical group yesterday held an action of burning the Koran at the Turkish Embassy in Copenhagen. This was the second burning of the holy book of Muslims in the Danish capital in a day. Another group of Danish patriots held a similar action near the Egyptian embassy.
