Zakharova: Russia hopes Armenia will realize full danger of adventure started by Westerners

Russia hopes that the Armenian authorities will realize the danger of the new adventure launched by the Westerners, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at a briefing, commenting on the statement of acting Assistant Secretary of the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs of the US State Department Yuri Kim, Report informs.

“Moscow had no illusions about Washington’s real goals in the post-Soviet space, in particular in the South Caucasus,” Zakharova noted.

She added that the US doesn’t care about the consequences; Washington intends to destroy the entire security architecture that has been built, to strike a blow at all the positive things that have been developed.

She said that the State Department representative actually admitted that “the US has now chosen Armenia as the next victim of zero-sum geopolitical games, its final separation from the Russian Federation and a complete reorientation to the West.”
