Zakharova: Moscow ready to mediate in normalization of ties between Yerevan and Ankara

Russia is ready to provide mediation efforts to normalize relations between Turkey and Armenia, the Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at a weekly briefing, Report informs.
Zakharova noted that the normalization of relations between Yerevan and Ankara would contribute to the improvement of the general situation in the region and would form an atmosphere of trust and good-neighborliness: "The appointment of special representatives by the parties, from our point of view, is a reasonable and logical step towards the development of such a mutual desire to normalize relations."
