Zakharova: London should be wary of its own degradation, not BRICS expansion

The UK should be wary of its technological degradation due to "liberal decadence" rather than worrying about BRICS expansion, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova wrote on Telegram channel in response to the statement of the former Prime Minister of the Kingdom, Gordon Brown, about the development of the association, Report informs.

The diplomat drew attention to Brown's words, who called the ties that are being formed due to BRICS expansion "potentially dangerous."

"The doubling of the number of BRICS member countries indicates the determination of the world community to throw off the yoke of neocolonial oppression, develop in accordance with their national interests, preserve the traditions of civilization and prevent the destructive influence of Western liberal dictatorship. This is in short," Zakharova emphasized.

"As for the danger, first of all, London needs to beware of the technological degradation that has occurred in Britain, caused by liberal decadence," Zakharova noted.
