Ankara is preparing to implement a project to take fingerprints upon entry into Türkiye, Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said, Report informs referring to Sabah newspaper.
"Interior Minister Yerlikaya also announced... an important project for the future and said that fingerprints will be taken upon entry into Türkiye, like in the US and the UK," the newspaper writes.
The minister also noted that the identity cards of those who received temporary protection status, especially Syrians, will be chipped.
He added that it will be impossible to forge these IDs.
