Yerevan police nab four young people over Victory bridge shooting

Four young individuals were arrested for opening fire from a moving vehicle on the Victory Bridge in Yerevan. The event occurred in the early hours of July 14, 2024.

According to Report, which cites the Armenian Police press service, the incident unfolded around 2:00 AM when patrol officers swiftly responded to reports of gunfire. The suspects, two young men aged 20 and 23, and two young women aged 18 and 19, were apprehended on Argishti Street and promptly taken to the central police station.

The group had been traveling in an Opel vehicle, from which they allegedly fired shots while crossing the Victory Bridge.

Upon searching the vehicle, police discovered a pistol. The car was subsequently impounded and taken to a penalty lot for further investigation.
