Yerevan police detain 38 opposition activists

Armenian police detained 38 protesters who blocked the streets of Yerevan, the country's Internal Affairs Ministry said, Report informs.

Opposition activists have been trying to block the central streets of Yerevan since early morning, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Report informs via TASS.
The police began detaining them.
Protesters are in the central Sakharov Square next to government buildings; special police forces are trying to prevent the surrounding streets from being blocked.
The spiritual leader of the opposition movement “Tavush for the Motherland,” Archbishop Bagrat, on Monday evening called for tightening pressure on the authorities through acts of civil disobedience.
