On the 7 km road between the villages of Motyzhyn and Yasnohorodka in the Kyiv region of Ukraine, the bodies of 37 people were found, according to The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), Report informs referring to UNIAN.
Civilians who tried to leave were killed in shelling by Russian troops during March.
The WSJ noted that two other roads leading from Motyzhyn (Makarovsky district) to the north became the place of death of many local residents in the first week of the war. Therefore, they tried to use the road leading southeast to Yasnohorodka (Fastovsky district) for evacuation.
Journalists studied video from car registrars, talked to eyewitnesses and explored the territory adjacent to the road. They came to the conclusion that Russian troops were shelling the road with mortars.
In addition to the mutilated civilian cars with the sign "Children", dead civilians with gunshot wounds were also found on the road.
