Villagers block roads in Armenia

Residents of several villages in the Shirak region have blocked the Yerevan-Gyumri highway in northwestern Armenia.
Report informs, citing Sputnik Armenia, that they demanded a solution to the problem of irrigation.
At a rally in the village of Beniamin in the province on June 29, villagers demanded an immediate solution to the irrigation problem. According to the protesters, the hot weather and lack of rainfall cause great damage to agriculture in terms of quantity and quality.
On June 26, villagers staged a similar protest in Armavir province.
