"Turkey is the country with the greatest influence on the Russian-Ukrainian tensions," Turkish Vice-President Fuat Oktay told reporters, Report informs.
According to him, the Russian-Ukrainian tension is on the agenda of the whole world.
"This is also a struggle between East and West. We hope that the tension will reduce. Ukraine's desire to join NATO worries Russia, and this affects the Donbas crisis. We - as Turkey - are trying to fulfill our obligations. Turkey's diplomatic success is also reflected in the Russia-Ukraine crisis. If there is a chance, there will be a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the near future. After it, the situation may become clearer.”
