The passage of the controversial "Foreign Agents" law in Georgia is set to have significant repercussions on US-Georgia relations, according to the US Senator Jeanne Shaheen, Report informs.
"The US will impose sanctions against anyone involved in the adoption of this law," Senator Shaheen stated.
"Furthermore, American NGOs such as the National Democratic Institute (NDI) and the International Republican Institute (IRI) will be unable to operate in Georgia,” she added.
