US resuming operations at two military bases in Syria

The United States has resumed operations at two bases it has vacated in the northwestern Syrian province of Raqqa, Report informs with reference to TRT Haber.
The US withdrew its troops from the region in October 2019, shortly before the start of Turkiye's anti-terrorist operation, codenamed Operation Peace Spring.
In recent months, the Russian military has reportedly been active in Raqqa and the USA intends to return the 17th Regiment, 7 km from the center of Raqqa, and the base at Tabqa Military Airport, 50 km from the center, to its former deployment area.
These US military bases are in the area occupied by the YPG/PYD branches of the terrorist PKK group in Syria.
