US releases statement on Turkish-Armenian talks

The US welcomes the first meeting between the Armenian and Turkish special representatives, Report informs referring to Panorama.am.
The special envoys from Armenia and Turkey, Ruben Rubinyan and Serdar Kilic, met in Moscow on January 14 for the first round of talks to normalize relations between the two countries.
“We warmly welcome the Armenian-Turkish dialogue and the involvement of the two countries in diplomacy and dialogue to settle their differences,” the US Department of State told the Voice of America’s Armenian service in response to a request for Washington’s position on the Armenian-Turkish dialogue.
