UN: If war drags on, 9 out of 10 Ukrainians to be below poverty line

If the war between Russia and Ukraine drags on, nine out of ten Ukrainians will be below the poverty line, Report informs citing UNIAN.

“9 out of 10 people in Ukraine could be pushed into poverty or near poverty due to the war, putting almost 2 decades of development gains at risk,” the UN tweeted.

According to the Ukrainian government, houses, roads, bridges, hospitals, schools worth at least $100 billion have already been destroyed. The war has led to the fact that half of the country’s enterprises are completely closed, and the other half has difficulties.
