UN High Commissioner for Human Rights to visit Uzbekistan

The visit of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk to Uzbekistan will take place March 13-15, Report informs referring to local media.
During the visit, Turk will meet with the heads of the National Center for Human Rights, the Supreme Court, the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, as well as Commissioner for Human Rights of the Oliy Majlis (Ombudsman).
The high commissioner is expected to visit Karakalpakstan.
