President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev had a telephone conversation with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Report informs via TASS.
The presidents discussed humanitarian ties between their two countries.
"At the initiative of the Ukrainian side, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev had a telephone conversation with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The heads of state discussed issues of humanitarian ties between Kazakhstan and Ukraine," the press service of Kazakhstan's president said.
The last time Tokayev and Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation was in July 2022. At that time, they discussed, in particular, a deal on the export of Ukrainian grain. The President of Kazakhstan also stated the need for a diplomatic settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.
"Kassym-Jomart Tokayev confirmed Kazakhstan's position regarding a diplomatic solution to the armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine following the UN Charter and generally recognized norms of international law," the press service said.
