Ukrainian Armed Forces launch counteroffensive in country's east

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have launched counteroffensive in eastern provinces, Hanna Maliar, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, said on Telegram, Report informs.

According to her, the opposite side is trying to advance in several directions in the east: “And we are not only protected. We also counter-attack and carry out active operations.”

Maliar said that despite the strength of the Russian army, the Armed Forces of Ukraine prevent their progress: “In some areas they are retreating.”
