Ukraine shoots down Russian helicopter in Bakhmut direction

The Ukrainian military have destroyed a Russian Ka-52 helicopter in the Bakhmut direction, Report informs referring to RBC-Ukraine citing Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk.

"The type of the destroyed helicopter was established on August 14. This is an enemy Ka-52 attack helicopter," Oleshchuk said.

Meanwhile, the representative of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuri Ignat, said on the air of the telethon that the helicopter was destroyed with the help of an anti-aircraft guided missile.

Ka-52 helicopter is designed for reconnaissance, target designation and coordination of actions of a group of combat helicopters. It is capable of hitting armored and unarmored vehicles, as well as air targets.
