Vice Prime Minister - Minister for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk announced the agreement reached with the Russian Federation on the routes for the evacuation of civilians from several settlements, as well as an agreement on a ceasefire from 9:00 am to 9.00 pm on Wednesday, Report informs, citing Interfax-Ukraine.
"At half past six in the morning, we received a message from the Russian Federation about the coordination of the routes we had previously proposed ... We sent our letter to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), and at 9 am our Prime Minister Shmyhal Denis Anatolyevich was talking with the head of the ICRC Peter Mayer to confirm this. The military agrees to a ceasefire from 9 am to 9 pm of the current day," Vereshchuk said in a video message published on the Telegram channel of the President's Office.
According to her, the ceasefire regime will be established in the following areas for the evacuation of the civilian population: Enerhodar of the Zaporizhzhia region - Zaporizhzhia; Sumy - Poltava; Mariupol, Donetsk region - Zaporizhzhia; Volnovakha, Donetsk region - Pokrovsk, Donetsk region; Izium of the Kharkiv region - Lozova of the Kharkiv region; from the cities of Vorzel, Bucha, Borodyanka, Irpin, Hostomel of the Kyiv region to Kyiv through the villages of Stoyanka and Bilohorodka.
In addition, according to the minister, a separate special operation will be carried out to evacuate the orphanage from the city of Vorzel, Kyiv Oblast, region, in which there are currently 55 children and 26 employees.
"I appeal to the Russian Federation: you have made official public commitments to a ceasefire from 9 am on March 9, 2022. We have a negative experience when even the commitments taken did not work - these are the Mariupol-Zaporizhzhia and Volnovakha-Pokrovsk directions. Residents of Volnovakha contact me and ask very much that today the promise of the Russian Federation be fulfilled, and people can leave their places where they are now hiding from the shelling... We very much ask the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to comply with their obligations and ceasefire from 9.00 in the morning until 21.00 as we agreed," Vereshchuk said.
