Ukraine proposes to impose sanctions against 36 sports officials from Russia, Belarus

The Parliament of Ukraine has called on the National Security and Defense Council to impose sanctions against representatives of sports organizations from Russia and Belarus, Report informs referring to RBC-Ukraine.
The list includes 36 people.
The corresponding draft resolution was supported by 270 deputies at a meeting on July 14.
Sanctions include blocking assets, restricting trade operations, prohibiting privatization, leasing state property, prohibiting technology transfer, canceling official visits, meetings, negotiations on concluding contracts or agreements, depriving state awards, etc.
The Parliament also calls on the National Security and Defense Council to appeal to the EU, the US, Canada, Australia, Japan and other states to impose sanctions against Russians and Belarusians.
The list proposed by the parliament includes top sports officials of the Russian Federation and Belarus, as well as heads of sports organizations, associations and football clubs.
