Ukraine police seize nearly $1 billion in Russian assets

The Ukrainian police have arrested Russian-linked assets worth a staggering 38 billion hryvnias (nearly $1 billion). This significant development was revealed by Andrey Rubel, the head of the Strategic Investigations Department of the National Police of Ukraine, in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

According to Report, Rubel emphasized that all the seized assets are now being utilized for the benefit and needs of Ukraine, including military purposes.

"In particular, a Bell-427 helicopter, a Gulfstream G650 aircraft, 47 trucks, 55 passenger cars, and 3 on-board semi-trailers have been handed over to our defenders," he stated.

The police chief acknowledged the difficulty in assessing the full extent of Russian assets in Ukraine, as since 2014, all large businesses in the country have been directly or indirectly connected to Russians.
