Ukraine may mobilize women

A new bill on mobilization has been prepared in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, said Mariana Bezuhla, People's Deputy of Ukraine, member of the National Security and Defense Committee, Report informs.

Bezuhla said that the draft law contains a number of innovations related to the strengthening of the army in war conditions and noted that the new draft lowers the age of mobilization for battles from 27 to 25 and at the same time defines a duty for women: "According to the new project, women are registered in the military, involved in preliminary military training, and considered for military operations in the manner determined by the Ministry of Defense."

She also said that the new bill provides for a break period for those who have been fighting for a long time.
