Ukrainian men who study abroad will no longer be allowed out of the country to study while martial law is in effect, said Andriy Demchenko, the representative of the State Border Service, Report informs referring to UNIAN.
The possibility of crossing the border by male students has been canceled by the military leadership since September 14. Demchenko explained this by mass forgery of study documents.
“Earlier, by decision of the top military leadership, students who studied abroad until February 24 were allowed to travel outside Ukraine to continue their studies,” he added.
He said that during July-August, about 600 men were found at the border using supposedly fake documents.
“Therefore, today male students are not allowed to cross the border,” Demchenko said.
