UK Foreign Minister Liz Truss has launched the election campaign, Report informs, citing the Telegraph.
According to the information, the minister vowed to ensure Kremlin's defeat in the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine if she wins.
Truss also mentioned her successes in various positions in the British government.
She especially emphasized that as the foreign secretary, she led the international reaction against Russia, and noted her contribution to adopting serious sanctions on Russia.
UK's PM Boris Johnson resigned from his position on July 7. He will act as a prime minister until a new PM is elected.
