Türkiye to manufacture another 150 KAAN fighters for allies

Türkiye will produce another 150 KAAN fighter jets for allied countries, Mehmet Demiroglu, President and CEO of Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) said, Report informs via Star.
The timeframe remains undisclosed.
"In the coming years, we plan to produce only 250-300 units of KAAN fighter jets, primarily to meet the needs of Turkish Air Force," said Demiroglu.
The KAAN fighter jets represent Türkiye’s first national combat aircraft and developed as an alternative to the US F-22 and F-35 fighters. It completed its maiden flight on February 21, 2024.
