Seismologists have downgraded the magnitude of the earthquake that struck central Türkiye from 5.7 to 4.8 and have corrected its location, according to Report, which cites the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).

The updated data reveals that the epicenter of the quake was located 34 kilometers northwest of the city of Gaziantep, which is home to approximately 1.06 million people. The earthquake's focus was situated at a depth of 10 kilometers.

There have been no reports of casualties or damage resulting from the earthquake.
