Turkiye and Lithuania have agreed on the purchase of the “Bayraktar TB2” unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAV), Report says citing the Delfi agency of Lithuania.
According to the information, the representatives of the countries came together in Ankara and signed the document allowing purchase of the “Bayraktar TB2” unmanned combat aerial vehicles to Lithuania.
The protocol of intent on purchasing the Turkish weapons was signed by Vilus Semeshko, the Deputy Minister of Defense of Lithuania, and Ismail Demir, the Chief of the Defense Industry Agency of Turkiye.
By using the funds collected by people on the initiative of the “Laisves” TV channel, Lithuania will buy such UCAVs and other equipment for granting to Ukraine which is fighting against Russian invasion and willing to get unmanned systems.
“We signed an agreement. It means a green light in political level for future purchases”, Semeshonko stated.
