Turkish soldier killed in shootout with terrorists

The sergeant of the Gendarmerie Forces of Turkiye Kursat Sert was martyred in a shootout with terrorists in the Catak district of Van province.
Report informs, citing the Van governorate, that the Gendarmerie forces are conducting an anti-terrorist operation in the region. At that time, terrorists hiding in the area opened fire on the soldiers. As a result, Sert was martyred.
The anti-terror operation continues in the region.
