Turkish nationalist party supports Kılıçdaroglu in run-off election

Turkish nationalist party Zafer announced Wednesday its support for Turkish opposition presidential candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu in the upcoming run-off elections, Report informs via Turkish media.

The leader of the Zafer Party, Umit Ozdag, voiced his support at a joint press conference with Kılıçdaroğlu.

"One of the most pressing problems for Türkiye is the expulsion of 13 million illegal migrants and refugees. We spend $11 billion to support them. We decided to support Kılıçdaroğlu in the second round," Ozdag said.

Sinan Ogan, the ex-presidential candidate of Türkiye from the Ata alliance, announced on Monday his support for Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the second round of the presidential elections on May 28. In his speech, he stressed the importance of expelling several million illegal migrants from Türkiye and developing a deportation schedule, as well as continuing to fight all terrorist groups.

The Ata alliance also included the Zafer party, but after the elections, it announced the actual collapse of the alliance. The party noted that Ogan made the statement on his own behalf. Zafer received 2% of the vote in the parliamentary elections and did not enter parliament.

Erdogan won 49.51% of the vote in the first round of the presidential elections, and Kılıçdaroglu - 44.88%.
