Turkish Ministry of Justice announces date for presidential elections

Presidential elections in Turkiye are scheduled to take place on June 18, 2023, CNN Turk informs with reference to the country's Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdag, Report informs.
"The elections to be held on June 18, 2023 are the second elections in which our president will run. There is no need for comments here. There is no closed, ambiguous situation," the minister said.
Earlier, Euractiv observers wrote that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on the eve of the elections, focuses on a series of his diplomatic victories in the international arena and is trying to distract voters from serious economic problems, concentrating on his achievements in foreign policy.
