The Foreign Affairs Ministry of Türkiye (MFA) shared posts on X regarding the anniversary of the Nakhchivan Agreement, Report informs.
“On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the signing of the Nakhchivan Agreement, the founding document of the Organization of Turkic States, we proudly celebrate the whole Turkic World on the ‘Turkic States’ Cooperation Day’. We will continue to work with determination to realize the motto of ‘Unity in Language, Opinion, Work’ among Turkic States,” reads the posts.
On October 3, 2009, during the 9th Summit of the Heads of State of Turkic-speaking countries, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Türkiye signed the Nakhchivan Agreement, establishing the Turkic Council. The signing date, October 3, was declared the Cooperation Day of Turkic-Speaking Countries and is celebrated annually.
