Turkish Mayor Hilmi Sen killed in armed attack

Hilmi Sen, the Mayor of Baliseyh district of Kirikkale province, Türkiye, passed away in the hospital after being subjected to a gun attack, Report informs via Turkish media.

In the incident that occurred in the Baliseyh district Mayor Hilmi Sen was shot by an individual.

Sen, who was seriously injured, was taken to Baliseyh State Hospital. It was learned that 3 people who were with the mayor were also injured in the attack.

The mayor's driver, Mikail Celikkol, also lost his life.

A suspect was detained with a weapon in connection with the incident. He was identified as a relative of the mayor.
