Turkish Defense Minister: Türkiye prepared for any adverse scenario amid Israel-Iran escalation

Türkiye remains vigilant and fully prepared for any unfavorable developments amid the escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, Turkish Defense Minister Yasar Guler told journalists in Malatya.

Report informs via Haber Global that Guler said Türkiye's geographic position — at the crossroads of critical global developments — grants it strategic advantages, but also exposes it to complex and immediate risks.

"This position gives our country considerable advantages, but also causes constant, multidimensional threats near our borders. The events of recent days once again underscore a fundamental truth: we must pursue a proactive security policy and address emerging risks before they materialize," he said.

The minister warned that Israel's military actions in Iran could push the region further into chaos. "This escalation is unfolding in an already volatile Middle East, marked by ongoing conflict in Gaza and instability in Syria," he added.

Güler emphasized that his ministry continues to take all necessary precautions in light of current tensions and remains on high alert. "We are prepared for any adverse scenario and are constantly refining our readiness. We fully recognize our responsibility to the nation," he concluded.
