Turkish Defense Minister embarks on visit to Latvia

Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar arrived in Riga (Latvia) on Thursday.
Report informs referring to Anadolu that Latvian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Artis Pabriks welcomed the minister.
As part of the visit, the Turkish minister visited the Riga Brotherhood Cemetery, the largest military cemetery in the Baltic country.
Akar left a wreath at the memorial to those fallen during the First World War and in the liberation battles for Latvia and observed a moment's silence in the memory of the dead.
